About This Place

Located at 325 Bennett Hwy in Revere, MA, Glen's Roast Beef stands as a quintessential American eatery that perfectly captures the spirit of classic North Shore roast beef shops. This beloved spot doubles as a takeout restaurant, sandwich shop, and steak house, offering a diverse menu that satisfies hearty appetites and cravings for comfort food.

From the moment you bite into one of Glen’s famous sandwiches, you immediately understand why so many customers rave about their offerings. The star of the show is undoubtedly the Super Roast Beef Sandwich, generously piled high with tender roast beef and drenched in the signature James River sauce — rich, savory, and deeply satisfying. The buns, toasted to perfection with a slight crunch yet soft inside, create an impeccable texture contrast that elevates every bite.

If you’re seeking variety or something unique, the Philly Steak Roll delivers a delicious fusion of flavors with its meld of grilled steak, melted cheese, and sautéed vegetables. For those who appreciate a comforting classic, the Chicken Parm Sub comes highly recommended, featuring juicy chicken cutlets smothered in tangy marinara and glorious melted cheese that will easily convert even the least enthusiastic sub lover.

Beyond sandwiches, Glen’s thoughtfully crafted menu includes delicious options like the Big Beef Dinner, indulgent Cheese Balls, and satisfying chicken items such as the Chicken Fingers with fries and soda combo. The selection of subs and wraps, including the flavorful Buffalo Fingers and the herby Chicken Kabob wrapped with feta and fresh veggies, caters to a broad spectrum of tastes without ever sacrificing quality.

The casual, no-fuss ambiance makes Glen’s a perfect stop for a quick, gratifying meal whether you’re on a lunch break, grabbing a cheat meal, or feeding a family. Real customer experiences underline the charm of the place: Johan praises the Chicken Parm Sub as an unbeatable cheat-day delight, Jimmy admired the “Big” roast beef sandwich with its perfect balance of sauces and fresh toppings, and Nikita highlights the super fresh ingredients and warm, accommodating service.

Chris succinctly captures the essence with his shoutout to the Junior 3-Way sandwich, praised for its balance of convenience, flavor, and value that makes it a local favorite under ten dollars. Meanwhile, Ashley was “blown away” by not just the food quality but the attentive, friendly staff and mystery behind the perfectly toasted bun – a testament to the kitchen’s expertise.

In sum, Glen's Roast Beef isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience that connects you with the best of traditional American roast beef culture while inviting you to savor each unique creation with gratitude and joy. Whether it’s a comforting solo lunch or a casual meet-up, Glen’s offers an inviting, flavor-packed retreat that feels both familiar and satisfyingly indulgent.

I have gotten Glen’s a handful of times, and it’s not that I don’t like it but because I usually save it for my “cheat” meals . This is most definitely worth cheating for if you’re looking for a cheat meal (what I do). Chicken Parm Sub I highly recommend (I’m not really one to crave subs but this just changed it). Good price and filling on top of that as well. The parking is no issue there’s enough of it.

Glen's Roast Beef had one of the best roast beef sandwiches I've ever had! It was absolutely delicious! I ordered the "Big" sized roast beef sandwich with the "3 Way" option, which included their special BBQ sauce, mayo, and choice of cheese (I chose American cheese). I also added lettuce and tomatoes, which may not be traditional, but I wanted some veggies. The buns were light and fluffy with just the right amount of crispy, crunchiness on the inside edges from being grilled/toasted. The roast beef was thinly sliced, super tender, and generously portioned. The sauce combo was tangy, flavorful, and just the right amount to keep everything adequately sauced without becoming sloppy. On top of the delicious sandwiches, the service was friendly, and the unassuming venue was very chill and relaxing. All in all, it was an exceedingly enjoyable roast beef sandwich experience. I would definitely recommend!

Stopped in randomly and was blown away by the food and service. We got a big roast beef and cheesesteak… amazing abd highly recommend both! Still want to know how they toasted the bun… so good! Whoever was working the counter was polite and accommodating! You won’t be disappointed if you stop in for a bite. :)

Classic North Shore roast beef shop with warm stacks swimming in James River sauce between crunchy, griddled buns. Arguably the best Junior 3-way in town under ten bucks!

10/10 would recommend! Stopped in on Thursday evening. Got the friendliest service and the gentleman at the front was very accommodating and helpful. Put a huge smile on our faces. Food came out in minutes. Super fresh, high quality, and tasty! Loved the onion roll on the super beef!

What can I even say short of best roast beef and best cheesesteak (sorry Angelo’s) sandwich there are. I’ll be honest I haven’t tried that many places but I’ve been fortunate to try the “best” in many places a many countries and Glen’s tops them all. I’d drive 2 hours to come here and I’d do it frequently. Must try!

First time experiencing Boston roast beef. Had a big beef 3-way (sauce, cheese, mayo). Messiest sandwich but beef was cooked beautifully and the BBQ sauce was excellent. I absolutely recommend Glen's!! Super friendly!!

We are very glad we stumbled across Glen’s on our drive into Maine. The roast beef is INCREDIBLE! That is worth stopping for by itself, but the people working here make it even better!! We were even given anniversary fries (which were perfectly crispy and probably the best fries we have had in a while)!! So sweet and we have bookmarked this place for our next trip out. Thanks from North Carolina!
